What’s Up With these Assholes?

What do you get when you mix an American, a Kiwi, a Brit, some beer, and enough music gear to make windows rattle three blocks away? Noise complaints to the police, of course. But also Alternative Facts, the latest entry onto Auckland’s burgeoning punk rock scene. Steve (guitar, vocals, balky pedal board, the American), Hayden (bass, vocals, pet birds, the Kiwi), and Keith (drums, brewing expertise, the Brit) are the epicenter of the noise.

Smarter music minds than us have described AF as a nod to late 70s British punk vibes, which we take as a compliment (it might even have been meant as such). We take on fertile topics ranging from both Kiwi and US politics, to old school video games, to ram raids, all with a little humour (we hope), a lot of rage (we know), and a unique mix of humility and hubris.

Taken together, it adds up to a bunch of loud, fun punk rock. What’s better than that?
